Paul Green Planning - Experience

As an independent town planner my clients include individuals, residents group, small businesses and other professionals such as architects and surveyors. I have also undertaken work for a local authority planning department.

Recent projects include

- pre application planning appraisals and policy reviews for sites or projects

- responding to pre-application enquiries

- supporting statements for planning applications submitted by others

- planning applications

- objections to planning applications

- appeals against refusals of planning permission and listed building consent

- representations to new development plan documents and

- research projects for developments such as holiday accommodation and tourism uses, new housing, affordable housing and co-housing projects, hot food take-away premises, renewable energy proposal, house extensions and re-modelling, change of use of residential, employment and redundant premises.

I have extensive experience of working at senior level in local government, including

- coordinating provision of a range of related services

- representing the service within the local authority and elsewhere

- presenting information to committees for information and decision, and,

- managing service provision.

My principal planning responsibilities related to preparation and approval of 'development plans ' - such as local plans and parts of the new 'local development framework'. I also have experience of managing a conservation service, together with economic development and regeneration, countryside management and tourism.

I understand how local government works at a senior level and can advise on the processes and procedures associated with a range of public sector functions.
