Experience

I have extensive experience of working at senior level in local government, including

- coordinating provision of a range of related services

- representing the service within the local authority and elsewhere

- presenting information to committees for information and decision, and,

- managing service provision.

My principal planning responsibilities related to preparation and approval of 'development plans ' - such as local plans and parts of the new 'local development framework'. I also have experience of managing a conservation service, together with economic development and regeneration, countryside management and tourism.

As an independent town planner my clients include individuals, small businesses and other professionals such as architects and surveyors. Recent projects include

- pre application appraisals for barn conversions, new houses, tourism uses and affordable housing

- supporting statements for planning applications submitted by others

- planning applications for residential annexe, housing and tourist uses

- appeals against refusals of planning permission and listed building consent, and,

- representations to new development plan documents.
